Interests and practice philosophy: I am experienced in the private practice of General Internal Medicine in a university setting, where I help guide my patients through the sometimes perplexing maze of the 21st century medical system. Patients in my practice vary in age from 18 to 105 years. I follow the traditional model of internal medicine, in which a complete assessment is done on the initial visit, at which time 1½ hours are scheduled. Current problems and preventive health issues are carefully addressed. Continuity of care is emphasized, with follow up in my office, as well as at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and a subacute rehabilitation and long term care site, as necessary. I see patients from the community surrounding Northwestern Memorial Hospital, as well as from the rest of Chicago and the suburbs, other Illinois cities and neighboring states. Dr. DeBacker is currently accepting new patients.
Note: Dr. DeBacker is out of network for all insurance plans and Medicare. Please contact the office for further details prior to scheduling an appointment.
